Julie's Sweet Treats was founded in 2017 but the idea started nearly 20 years ago, when the owner Julie, was introduced to the wonders of working with chocolate. What started as a fun pastime making treats for family gatherings, quickly evolved into a passion for the craft and an insatiable desire to create confectionery delicacies that bring a smile to everyone's face.
In February 2026, Julie's Sweet Treats opened a retail location. Known for its handcrafted cookies, cupcakes, and seasonal specialties, the shop offers a delightful stop for travelers exploring Lake Erie Wine Country or strolling through the historic downtown.
When you stop to shop, you'll find a wide selection of their popular chocolate cups, novelty items like marshmallows, pretzels, oreos and more, all dipped in their signature blend, smooth and creamy chocolate. Be sure to try their original, signature item: Peanut Butter Meltaways!
