The Wilderness Lodge in Wattsburg, PA offers a premier cross-country skiing experience with over 30 km of groomed trails, nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania’s snow belt. Originally built in 1969 as a snowmobile lodge, the Wilderness Lodge quickly pivoted to cross-country skiing and is now considered one of the oldest Nordic ski facilities in the country.

It sits on the southwest ridge of the Chautauqua Ridge, offering scenic views and a peaceful, wooded setting. Whether you're a seasoned skier or a first-time visitor, the Wilderness Lodge delivers a classic winter experience steeped in tradition, hospitality, and natural beauty.
Trail fees apply for all skiers and snowshoers. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available for both classic and skate skiing. Ski lessons can be arranged for individuals or groups too.
