The Mercyhurst Institute for Arts & Culture (MIAC) brings Broadway stars, internationally acclaimed musicians, award-winning dance companies, and luminaries of stage and screen to Erie annually as part of its MIAC Live series. In recent years, iconic performers such as Martin Short, Kristin Chenoweth, Bernadette Peters, Leslie Odom, Jr., Betty Buckley, Lily Tomlin, Rosanne Cash, Vanessa Williams, Chris Botti, Branford Marsalis, Shirley MacLaine, Michael Feinstein, David Sedaris, and Judy Collins, along with world-renowned groups like the Vienna Boys Choir, the Golden Dragon Acrobats, Step Afrika!, and Ballet Hispánico, have all performed to sold-out crowds.
