Completed in 1873, the lighthouse previously housed lighthouse keepers and their families as well as state park managers before it opened to the public in 2015. The lighthouse is still a working aid to navigation. Public admission is available, and group tours are available with advance notice.

May 1 to Memorial Day and October: Open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
