Relaxation and quality time spent with family and friends are at the heart of nightlife in Erie. Oliver’s Beer Garden and Mini Golf
Oliver’s Beer Garden is a trendy nightlife destination that has the perfect blend of casual and carefree summertime vibes. Whether you are looking to watch the sunset by the bay with a signature cocktail or craft brew in hand, catch up with friends, or dance the night away to live music, Oliver’s Beer Garden is the perfect summer spot. While you are enjoying a variety of food and beverages from Oliver’s Beer Garden, do not forget to experience their newest attraction, Oliver’s Bayfront Mini Golf. A game of mini golf just steps away from picturesque views of Lake Erie, paired with delicious gourmet burgers and craft sandwiches specially prepped by Oliver’s onsite food truck, is the perfect combination for an unforgettable summer night.
Wobbly Pirate Happy Hour and Waterfront Dining
Nothing says summertime like sailing on Presque Isle Bay and engaging in a unique happy hour experience. Drink and dance the night away while aboard Scallywags’ Wobbly Pirate Happy Hour Cruise. As part of the cruise, you will witness stunning sights of Presque Isle Bay and have the opportunity to interact with witty and mischievous pirates. Alongside vibrant entertainment, you can enjoy a D.J. and cash bar. Before you climb aboard to party like a pirate, be sure to fuel up at some of Erie’s classic waterfront hangouts like Woody’s Backwater BARge & Grill or Rum Runners Restaurant. These restaurants are within walking distance from each other and the Scallywags’ port so you can effortlessly walk along Erie’s Bayfront and sail the night away.
Kellar’s Magic & Comedy Club and Downtown Dining
Beat the summer heat by attending an evening show at Kellar’s Magic & Comedy Club. Kellar’s offers an exciting perspective on nightlife with showstopping performances highlighting laughter and magic. Popular actors, writers, and comedians from shows such as America’s Got Talent and Penn and Teller: Fool Us will have you on the edge of your seat laughing with their impressive skill set. At Voodoo Brewery, indulge in a variety of options from juicy burgers, to crispy chicken wings, and housemade pizzas. This is the perfect destination to enjoy award-winning brews, originally founded in Meadville, PA. Calamari’s Squid Row is another classic downtown dining location that offers delicious dips and appetizers, as well as thick and fluffy focaccia sandwiches. Alongside flavorful food, their outside seating welcomes you to explore the sights and sounds of Downtown Erie prior to the show.
Erie SeaWolves Baseball and Fireworks
What better way to spend a summer evening than going to an Erie SeaWolves baseball game accompanied by a fantastic fireworks display? Paired with the sights of UPMC Park, enjoy your favorite ballpark foods and snacks while rooting for Erie’s hometown team. The Erie SeaWolves’ concession stands are filled with specialty burgers, classic ox roast sandwiches, and gourmet hot dogs made from Erie’s cherished local brand, Smith’s Hot Dogs. UPMC Park is especially unique due to its small, yet enthusiastic atmosphere. Each seat ensures a great view just feet away from the players and an action-packed game. Live Music and Drinks
Soak up the last few weeks of summer with outstanding live music right along the Bayfront at 8 Great Tuesdays, a beloved summer concert series. Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m., on Tuesdays through the end of August at Highmark Amphitheater in Liberty Park. 8 Great Tuesdays has an impressive selection of food trucks and beverages onsite, including wine from a local winemaker, Mazza Vineyards. If you are looking for late night bite after listening to your favorite tunes, head over to JR’s on the Bay, Sloppy Duck Saloon. This is a great way to end the night as the restaurant is only a short walk away from the amphitheater and is open until 11 p.m. on Tuesdays.
