Celebrating Pride in Erie, PA
Wednesday May 28th, 2025
June is a time to celebrate love, acceptance, and being true to yourself. Here in Erie, we’re honoring Pride with events all month—and throughout the summer—welcoming everyone to join in and share the spirit of inclusivity. No matter who you are, come be part of the celebration!
Saturday, June 28 – Pride on the Bay
Experience the energy and excitement of Pride on the Bay, hosted by the Northwest Pennsylvania Pride Alliance! All are welcome at Liberty Park for a day of celebration, community, and LGBTQIA+ visibility. Enjoy live music, entertainment, food vendors, and opportunities to connect with local organizations. Pride on the Bay is free, family-friendly, and smoke-free.
Sunday, June 29 – Erie Pride Parade
Show your pride with colorful clothing, signage, streamers, floats, and flags. Be creative and join in supporting Erie’s queer community for an afternoon of love and support during Northwest Pennsylvania Pride Alliance’s annual Erie Pride Parade. The parade will step off from 11th and State Streets at 1 p.m. and proceed north to Perry Square.
Saturday, August 16 – 32nd Annual Pride Picnic
Come gather with your friends and your chosen family at NWPA Pride's annual Pride Picnic for great food, information tables, and gift basket raffles from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Presque Isle State Park’s Rotary Pavilion, adjacent to Beach 7/Waterworks Beach. Hot dogs are provided, and attendees are asked to bring a dish to share. No alcohol is permitted. There will be a collection of non-perishable items for the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWPA, free HIV/STI testing, and the traditional LGBTQ+ family group picture.
Every third Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. - Queer Open Mic
Compton's Table is a sustainable organization where queer youth and young adults find community, are seen, valued, and affirmed. All queer performers are welcome! There is a suggested donation of $5 per person.
