VisitErie offers college students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the tourism, marketing and hospitality industries. VisitErie internships are unpaid, but can be redeemed for college credit based on campus requirements.
Interns work a fixed schedule of 15-25 hours per week, depending on credit requirements and the student’s schedule. Selected interns must be able to complete their hours between Monday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Due to the nature of our work, VisitErie works with many different community partners. VisitErie’s goal is to provide interns with a well-rounded experience, including the opportunity to see as much as possible, and meet the community partners who may expand your view of the hospitality industry.
VisitErie’s Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, assisting the Marketing Department on a variety of projects and promotions. Responsibilities include coordinating with staff to contribute to an organizational content calendar, creating and scheduling social media content as directed, and assisting in research and execution of a variety of VisitErie marketing and promotional objectives.
VisitErie’s Communications and PR Intern will gain hands-on experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, assisting VisitErie’s communications department in a variety of writing projects. Responsibilities include assisting in drafting a variety of editorial content that includes blogs, press releases, web content, articles and more. As part of your application, please submit a writing sample up to 500 words.
