- Tour Erie’s Eerie Stories, Legends, and Lore Walking Tours begin October 4 and continue on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until October 31. Tours are led by a guide and lantern light throughout downtown Erie, where participants will learn spooky tales about Erie’s first execution, the spirits said to haunt the Warner Theatre, and more. The 1.5-mile, 90-minute tours start at 5:30 p.m. and finish at Voodoo Brewing. The cost is $17 per person. Explore eerie tales and ghostly stories of those long deceased while strolling among the gravestones, guided by lantern light during the Erie Cemetery Ghosts and Legends Tours, October 26 through October 30 at 6 p.m. What mausoleum has been opened unlawfully, and by whom? Is there really a vampire lurking in the shadows? Learn about these and other tales from the vaults during this engaging tour in one of Erie’s most historic cemeteries. Hot cider and cookies are included. The cost is $16 per person.
- The Erie Zoo’s youngest residents made their debut in September, showing off their cute selves to Zoo visitors. There’s still time to see the kittens, as the Erie Zoo will close for the season on November 30.
